The Balearic Parliament, with the votes of PP and Vox, has lifted the prohibition imposed in 1992 and, ratified in the 2017 law, of ‘minors attending bullrings when bullfighting shows are held’.
From now on, minors under the age of 16 will be able to attend bullfights, as long as they are accompanied by an adult. With this vote, Vox - the party that has mobilised this change in the law -, has caused the partial modification of article 12, which completely lifts the prohibition for minors, but maintains the obligation to install inside and outside the bullring, and in a visible place, a sign that warns that the spectacle may offend the sensibility of the spectators.
