The Law Commission of the French Senate has rejected by a large majority the bill which sought to prohibit the presence of minors under 16 years of age in bullfights. The commission accepted the arguments of the Union of Bullfighting Villages, relating to the respect of parental authority and the right to differentiation of public communities, under which the municipal bullfighting regulations provide for the access of minors to bullrings.
The Unión de Villas hopes that in the plenary session of the 14th November, the political groups will comply with the decision of the Law Commission and that this propos.
